One of the most important things for a business launch to be successful is a list of potential prospects. It’s a starting point. It’s an initial target. And it’s essential before you set your new business in motion. This chapter introduces a variety of ways you can accumulate names of prospective customers and many of them can be done with your laptop and an internet connection … and nothing more. In other words, it doesn’t have to cost you any money. To be clear, this process can be extremely tedious. It takes time and often involves a lot of “cut & paste” and boring formating work. But once complete, a list of prospects will give you a huge head start when it comes time to start selling your wears.
