65. Twitter: Search Keywords

One of the amazing things about Twitter is that you can “reply” to anyone on Twitter, whether you’re following them or they’re following you or not. By including the @username vernacular, the person referenced will be notified of your tweet even if they have never heard of you before. There are over 100 million people on Twitter. Imagine who you might find. It all starts by visiting the Twitter search engine and doing a few searches. Try phrases (rather than just keywords) and see what you find. Refine your search until you find tweets from people who might be interested in whatever you sell. This chapter offers a few case histories of this strategy and how other businesses have used it to find new customers on Twitter.
