Google provides a ton of services, many of them free of charge, for people to use. Obviously, the best known is their search engine, but most people only take advantage of a small part of it’s functionality. Turns out, there are a number of codes you can use to dramatically refine your search query. This chapter describes the biggies. Google also provides their Google Alerts platform, allowing people to get notified whenever a relevant new listing shows up on the internet. It’s a brilliant opportunity to monitor your own reputation (of those of your competitors) online. This chapter discusses how you can begin using these features – both free – in your own business.
