47. Optimize Google Places

Google Places is becoming more important by the day. For obvious reasons, Google would like to deliver relevant search listings for people who are looking for local services. When you search for “garbage removal” for example, you would intuitively include your city name or some other location-based keywords. If you didn’t, you might end up with listings from across the country or even across the world. As a result, Google developed Google Places to deliver local search listings right on a map when people use location-based keywords in their search query. This chapter offers a series of tips to optimize your listing on Google Places.
